Bauer, Harvey A. (10 JAN 1930 – 2 SEP 2015)
Harvey A. Bauer, age 85, of Loyal passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at
the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Saturday, September 5, 2015
at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal. The Rev. Steven Brice will
officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Friday
at the church in Loyal from 5PM until 7PM and again on Saturday at the church
from 9AM until time of services.
Harvey was born January 10, 1930, in Loyal, the son of Paul and Lorene (Hubing)
Bauer. Upon completing his eighth grade education, Harvey was employed at a
rural cheese factory. He was united in marriage to Louise Gall on May 29, 1952
at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville. Together, they farmed and raised
their family near Loyal. In May, Harvey and Louise celebrated 63 wonderful years
of marriage.
Harvey was a member of Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal. He served his
country as a member of the Army National Guard for four years. In his spare
time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife Louise; his four children: Thomas "Butch" (Mary)
Bauer, John (Marilyn) Bauer, Edwin (Rhonda) Bauer and Vickie (Brian)
Bauer-Johnston all of Loyal; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 12
great-grandchildren; two sisters: Phyllis Johnson of Fond du Lac and Doris Braun
of Marshfield and two brothers: Robert (Dickie) Bauer of Loyal and James
(Lucille) Bauer of Marshfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Richard and a sister Margie.
