Schulte, Lorraine A. (Dassow) (16 MAY 1924 - 25 AUG 2015)
Lorraine A. Schulte, age 91, of Abbotsford, passed away on Tuesday, August 25,
2015 at the Colonial Center in Colby. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM
on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. Burial will
be held in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Holton.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 28 from 9:30 AM until the time of
services at the church.
Lorraine was born May 16, 1924 in Medford, the daughter of John and Anna (Rehbein)
Dassow.
She attended Pleasant Heights School in Medford until the eighth grade and then
Lorraine went to work as a housekeeper. She worked at Weather Shield in Medford
from 1959 until her retirement in 1986.
Lorraine was united in marriage to Reuben Schulte on September 7, 1963 at
Trinity Lutheran Church in Medford. The couple resided in Abbotsford.
She was an avid gardener and loved her gladiolas; Lorraine also enjoyed going to
casinos and traveling with her husband, Rueben. Lorraine was an active member of
Christ Lutheran Church, and the Ladies Guild for many years.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Joyce Graffunder of Abbotsford, two
grandchildren, Kevin (Shari) Graffunder of Prairie Du Sac and Kent (significant
other Tammy) Graffunder of Abbotsford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Reuben on December 31,
2000, a sister and six brothers.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established at a later date.
