Mrs. Rollie Benedict entertained the Sew & So Homemakers Club Thursday at
dinner. Mrs. Earl Falconer was her guest.
- We are glad to report our President, Mrs. Ray Hetzel,
who has been a hospital patient for several weeks, is home and gaining more
strength each day.
- Mrs. Rollie Benedict, Vice President, presided at the
meeting. The "Creed" and pledge to the flag were given.. Also the roll was
called.
- Secretary, Mrs. Glen Lavey, Treasurer, Mrs. Freda
Frischman, and Sunshine Chairman, Mrs. Melford Rowe, read their reports. A Thank
Your Card was read from our president, Mrs. Hetzel, for the gift. The
Treasurer was instructed to send a donation to the organizations voted on when
due.
- Several songs were sung.
- Our next meeting will be with Mrs. Glen Lavey. Mrs.
Nyle Benedict read an article called "What is an American", which was very good.
This was taken from the Loyal editor's column, "Over the Back Fence."
- After closing with the Homemakers Prayer, the hostess
opened her gifts.
Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Lavey and family of Nekoosa spent Thursday with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kronberger.
Mrs. Norman Freedlund and son David of Pittsville, Mrs. Arlyn Castner and
daughter Cindy of Marshfield, were dinner guests Wednesday of Mrs. Flossie
Schmidtke.
Alfred Garbisch passed away Saturday at Marshfield Hospital, where eh had been a
patient for several days. Funeral services were held Monday in the Lutheran
Church at Granton.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pinkerton and family of Oshkosh spent the weekend with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nyle Benedict.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schmidtke and daughters were supper guests Saturday evening of
Mrs. Flossie Schmidtke.
Mr. and Mrs. Nyle Benedict entertained the Friendship Club Tuesday evening. Mrs.
Julius Remak conducted the business meeting. Mrs. Rollie Benedict was appointed
Sunshine Chairman.
- Prizes were awarded to Don Holt in Bunco, and Otto
Kolnback in Sheephead. He also won the door prize. Lunch was served later by the
hostess.
Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kronberger were Mr. and Mrs. Nobert Lavey and
family of Nekoosa, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kronberger and family of Neillsville.
