A total of 2,066 Whitewater State University students earned honors for academic
achievement during the first semester of the 1969-70 academic year, which ended
in January.
Of these, 91 students achieved perfect 4 point average, or straight A's; an
additional 611 earned first honors, signifying a grade point average from 3.5 to
3.99 for the semester, and 1,384 were granted second honors with grad pint
averages of 3 to 3.49.
Second honors were received by Sue Olsen, a senior majoring in business
education. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Olsen, Box 334, Loyal (Clark
Co., Wis.).
Second honors were also received by ray Toburen, sophomore in business
education, route 3, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.). He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Delmar Toburen.
