August Ehlert, brother of Julius Ehlert of Loyal, passed away on Monday. Those attending the services held in the Loyal Lutheran Church on Tuesday were Mr. and Mrs. Julius Schroeder, Mr. and Mrs. John and Henry Kurz. Our sympathy to the family.

Mr. and Mrs. George Budzinski of Bayfield, were recent overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Loos of Chili.

Mr. and Mrs. Elroy (Shorty) Dahlke have sold their farm to an Amish family and will have their personal property auction on April 4th.

Mr. and Mrs. John Kurz entertained Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bymers on Thursday evening.

There was an excellent turnout for the Frank Walter Auction on Saturday, in spite of the cold wind. The Walter family plans to go to Florida in late April if all goes well.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kurz helped her father celebrate his birthday recently by taking Mr. and Mrs. Chester Turnville out for dining and dancing at Bali Hai at Neillsville.

Mr. and Mrs. George Budzinski of Bayfield were Wednesday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bymers.

New telephone number for Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fabian is 267-6542.

Mr. and Mrs. Duane Pachal and family gave a potluck dinner in honor of her parents 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday at the Pachal home. Mr. and Mrs. Julius Ehlert were completely surprised to arrive and find the following guests who helped them celebrate: Mr. and Mrs. John Kurz and Mrs. Phillip Kurz, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Anderson and Sandy of Chelsea, Max Neitzel of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. John Ehlert of Oconomowoc. A decorated cake for the occasion was served with dinner, and they received gifts and cards. For supper a decorated birthday cake for the eldest grandson, James Pachal, was a surprise for him.

Mrs. Ed Kowalk visited at the Donald Neuman home on Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Metcalfe are now visiting cousins in Louisiana and in a week will continue on to Texas.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brett recently spent a weekend visiting their new grandson, Dana David Bree, and his parents at Forest Lake, Minn.

Some of the local families who attended the appreciation supper at the Loyal Lutheran Church on Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Anderegg, Mr. and Mrs. Orville and Gerald Luchterhand and families, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Randt and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Noeldner, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kurz and Eleanor Seefeldt. After the meal a program was enjoyed by all. Mrs. Orville Luchterhand received special recognition for being a Sunday school teacher for 10 years, and received a gift.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kurz and Elanor Seefeldt attended the cooin wedding dance of Barbara Hein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hein, and Douglas Seefeldt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Seefeldt, which was held at K Corners on Saturday evening.
