Jones, James Carlton (15 February 1899 - 25 January 1974)
James Carlton Jones, 74, of Neillsville died January 25 at Owen. Preceding
cremation, the body of Mr. Jones was in state Monday evening at the Georgas
Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery in spring.
The son of James N. and Minnie A. Wheeler Jones, he was born February 15, 1899,
at Castleton, Vt. On February 16, 1952, in Fort Wayne, In., he was married to
the former Jean Campman, who preceded him in death. Mr. Jones, a veteran of
World War I, was a past member of the American Legion.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lowell (Cara Jean) Gress of Neillsville;
one sister, Mrs. Verna Oakman of Rutland, Vt.; and by two grandchildren.
