Kilty, Marvin D. (30 OCT 1929 - 6 SEP 2015)
Marvin D. Kilty, age 85, of Colby, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Care
Partners Assisted Living in Rice Lake.
A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Family and friends are welcome
from 9:30 AM until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Private
interment with Military Honors provided by the Colby VFW Post #2227 in the Colby
Memorial Cemetery.
Marvin was born October 30, 1929, the son of William and Florence (Matson) Kilty
in Unity.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Marvin was united in marriage
to Lucille A. Monness on March 5, 1955 at Dovre Lutheran Church in New Auburn.
He farmed in the Colby area and worked at Land O' Lakes in Spencer as a fork
lift operator.
Marvin was a member of the Colby VFW Post #2227.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Lucille; two children: Jane Weber and
Dennis Kilty, both of Birchwood; one granddaughter, Jamie (Morgan) Crotteau of
Rice Lake; one great- grandson, Cameron; many nieces and nephews, other
relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Catherine; nine siblings:
Melvin, Glen, Donald, Kenneth, Lyle, Robert, Vern, Myrtle and Lorraine.
