Marten, Sherri Lynn (Schantner) (31 OCT 1960 - 23 SEP 2015)
Sherri Lynn Marten, 54, Prentice, died on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at the
Aspirus Medford Hospital after a short illness. She was born on October 31,
1960, in Burlington, WI, the daughter of Daryl and Lois (Brown) Schantner.
She spent her early life and schooling in Waterford, WI, She made her home in
the Prentice area with her family in 1976. She completed her high school and
graduated from Prentice High School, Class of 1978. She was married to Donald
Marten on December 2, 1989, in Prentice. She was employed for many years at the
Prentice IGA and then most recently at Chuck’s Little Station in Prentice.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Prentice.
In her free time she was actively involved with her family especially enjoyed
spending time with her new granddaughter Lilyana “Lambie”.
She is survived by her husband Donald, Prentice, by her 3 children: Chuck Schwie,
Eau Claire, Andrew Schwie, Rice Lake, and Tiffany (Kevin) Stagliano, Eau Claire,
by 1 granddaughter Lilyana Stagliano, and by 3 brothers and 2 sisters: Chuck
(Susie) Schantner, Robert (Amber) Schantner, and Steve (Lisa) Schantner, all of
Prentice, Susie (Dwight) Wegerer, Phillips, and Debra (Kevin) Stade, Prentice.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015, at 1:00 P.M. at the
First Lutheran Church, Prentice, with Pastor Richard Hall officiating. Friends
may call from 12:00 Noon until on Friday, Aug. 28, 2015 until the time of the
service at the church.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Prentice is in charge of the arrangements.
