Fay Eileen Hardrath of 5946 Fifth Av., Kenosha, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Hardrath of 206 North Chestnut Street, Spencer, exchanged wedding vows with
Joseph Andrew Reif of Stratford, son of Mr. Joseph William Reif of Stratford, on
Saturday, April 1, 1970 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer.
Rev. William Ruhbusch officiated at the ceremony.
The organ was played by Mrs. Arnold Bruesewitz and Karen Hansen sang "The 23rd
Psalm" and "The Lord's Prayer."
The church was beautifully decorated with bouquets of daisies on the altar.
The bride was seen in a white empire A-line, floor-length gown of lace over
satin. She carried a bouquet of peach roses and white daisies. She had on a
satin bow headpiece with 4-tiered veil.
The maid of honor was Miss Donna Hardrath of Spencer, and the bridesmaids were
Miss Judy Dunbar of Wausau and Miss Luanne Hardrath of Marshfield. They wore
floor length satin gowns with chiffon sleeves, and a high neckline with matching
ribbons at the empire waistline. The maid of honor wore yellow and the
bridesmaids wore aqua.
The best man was Arnold Behelein, and the groomsmen were Charles Reif and Gary
Zopfi. Ushers were Vern Schwarze and Joseph Fisher.
A wedding supper was held at the bride's parent's home and a wedding shower
dance was held that evening at the Spencer Municipal Hall.
The bride was a 1969 graduate of Spencer High School and is presently employed
in Kenosha.
Mr. Reif is a 1967 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School and is presently
employed at American Motors in Kenosha.
They are presently living at 5946 Fifth Av. In Kenosha, Wis.
