Mr. and Mrs. Louis Matkovich were Friday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nick
Matkovich in Owen.
Monday night, Mr. and Mrs. Valentine St. John of Neillsville were guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Tolaney, Jr., and helped Mrs. Karen Tolaney celebrate her
birthday.
Mrs. Mary Rozich was dismissed last Saturday from the hospital in Marshfield.
Mr and Mrs. Frank Parkel, Jr., attended the funeral in Milwaukee of Mr. Bud
Slinger, 52, who died there last week. Mr. Slinger was the husband of Mr.
Parkel’s sister, Donna Parkel. Mrs. Theresa Parkel also attended the funeral and
remained for further visits.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Musich helped celebrate the birthday of Mr. Frankel, Jr., at
their home last Monday. Games were played and a lunch was served.
Last week Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Lehto spent four days in Eau Claire with Betty and
Art Bluschel. They returned Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Ruzic of Marshfield spent last Thursday evening with Mr.
and Mrs. Fritz Lehto.
Mrs. Alvin Kaltinger, R.N., left last Saturday for New Orleans, La., where she
attended the nurses’ convention. She expected to stay for a week and make the
trip by plane. Her mother, Mrs. Mary Landini of Greenwood will keep house for
her.
Mrs. Donna Searles and Jay of Wausau, and Miss Diane Klapatauskas of St.
Francis, spent the weekend at the Mike Klapatauskas home.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jordon and Sheila of Granton, and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Nauertz
and Allen of Neillsville, spent last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bayuk and
family.
Carol Bayuk of Chicago and Nina Bayuk of La Cress spent the weekend at the home
of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Bayuk.
Steve Koschak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Koschak, enlisted in the army last
week.
Janice Marcolt of Stevens Point spent last weekend with Mr. and Mrs. John
Trunkel, Jr.
Mrs. Bernard Schmidt of Loyal spent a day with her patents, Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig
Jordon.
Miss Chris Bayuk of Marshfield spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Bayuk.
Ron and Roger Volovsek spent the weekend in Medford and attended the snowmobile
races close by.
Nine tables of cards were played last Sunday at the Willard parish community
service. On the committee were Victor Halbrader and Al Volovsek. Mrs. Frank
Koschak was awarded the door prize, while the raffle prize went to Art
Petkovsek. A prize went to the winner at each table. A lunch was served after
the games.
Carol Govek of Eau Claire spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Govek.
Valentine Krainz was dismissed from the Memorial Hospital at Neillsville last
week.
Mrs. Sophie Piepper has been staying for about a week with Mr. and Mrs. John
Keller.
