Riedel, Walter (10 July 1895 - 9 February 1974)

A longtime resident of the Town of Lynn, Walter Riedel of Neillsville, died Saturday, February 9, at the age of 78. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Nordin of Calvary Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in the Town of Lynn Cemetery.

Mr. Riedel, the son of Gustave and Minnie (Lemke) Riedel, was born July 10, 1895, in the Lynn area and was educated in schools there. He did farm work as a young man, and farmed in the Town of Lynn after his July 6, 1927, marriage to the former Milladore Grade, which took place in Granton. The Riedels retired and moved to Neillsville seven years ago. Mr. Riedel entered Memorial Home November 19, 1973.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Mrs. Sam (Bernice) Shrove of Rockford, Il.; a brother, Elmer Riedel of Marshfield; and one grandchild.
