Mrs. Helen Pickett and Mrs. Beatrice Lang called Saturday afternoon on Mrs. Art
Laffe.
Ralph Finnigan of Burlington came up Wednesday evening and Saturday took Arnold
Matti to Eau Claire for a checkup. Mr. Matti had a good report.
Miss Connie Priutz spent the weekend with her mother and brother, Mrs. Iola
Priutz and Alan, from her teaching duties at Owen.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Greub of Neillsville visited Sunday afternoon with Mr. and
Mrs. John Greub.
Jim Trachsel drove to Rochester, Mn. Wednesday and brought his mother, Mrs.
Millie Trachsel home. She has improved and is convalescing in her home. Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Laffe were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Ida Wold in Black River
Falls. The dinner was in honor of the birthday of her son, Orrin Wold of Disco.
Other guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Wold, Mrs. Hazel Field, Ed Field of
Black River Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Desaultier of Humbird.
Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Taylor of Mosinee visited Monday at the home of Mrs.
Anita Markham.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Burrington of Thorp called Sunday and again Monday at the home
of his sister, Mrs. Dewayne Parent.
Mr. and Mrs. Perle Pickett were Friday afternoon and supper guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Floyd Dunn in Shady Glen.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Colwell of Hixton took her mother, Mrs. Harriette Gorst, to
Eau Claire for a birthday dinner.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Trachsel and family spent Sunday evening at the home of his
mother, Mrs. Millie Trachsel.
Mrs. Emma Hoag and Leonard of Melrose visited Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Laffe.
Mrs. Audry Scheels, district deputy, and Mrs. Julia Lindsay of Abbotsford were
guests Saturday afternoon of the local Order of the Eastern Star.
Patrick Barney has been named Jackson County chairman of the 1974 Brotherhood
program of the National Council for Christians and Jews. A successful year is
hoped for.
Sam and Jake Fitzmaurice accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jinkerson of
Fairchild to Rochester Thursday to see their brother, and uncle, Levi
Fitzmaurice, who is still a hospital patient.
Mrs. Emma Gerber visited in Black River Falls Monday.
The Admitters club (senior citizens) will meet Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the
Community Hall.
