Mr. and Mrs. Frank Govek spent the weekend with relatives in West Bend and
Sheboygan. Sunday, they attended a family gathering, at which the birthday of
Mr. Govek was celebrated, held at the home of Mrs. Govek’s sister, Mrs. Mary
Lesar, in West Bend.
Mr. and Mrs. John Govek of Medford were weekend visitors at the home of his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Govek.
The Tuesday afternoon 500 Club met February 12 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James
Metcalf.
Oscar Indgjer of Eau Claire and grandson, Randy Indgjer, of Janesville, visited
Tuesday with the former’s sister, Mrs. Louise Ellingson.
The Zion Adult Fellowship will meet in Zion United Church Sunday at 8 p.m. Hosts
will be Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schneider and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Vollrath.
The American Legion auxiliary meeting will be held Monday evening in the legion
Hall. Hostess will be Mrs. Leona Syth, Mrs. Robert Stewart, Mrs. John D. Speich
and Mrs. Don Warner.
Members of the Salem Aid will meet Tuesday at 8 p.m. in Zion United Church. Mrs.
Ewald Schwarze and Mrs. Otto Horn will be Hostesses.
Mrs. George Zuehlke will entertain members of the Ladies Aid of Trinity Lutheran
Church, at her home in Loyal Thursday afternoon, February 21.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pakiz attended the Jazz Ensemble concert, featuring student
compositions, held Wednesday evening at the University at Eau Claire. “On the
Wind,” composed by Patrice Pakiz, was one of the selections. Others attending
from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Volovsek, Kitty Yurkovich, Natalie Nest,
Linda Volovsek and Berdell Nielsen.
