Approximately 300 attended the Mother – Daughter breakfast held Sunday, May 10,
1970, after the 10 a.m. mass at St. Mary's Church Hall in Greenwood. The Holy
Name men prepared the breakfast and the young men of the congregation served the
meal. Rev. Leander Koopman gave the table prayers and made a few remarks. Donald
Kocher, president of the Holy Name Society, presented the awards. Potted plants,
used as table centerpieces were awarded to each table. An award also was given
to the oldest mother present, Mrs. John Kaltinger Sr., 85.
