The annual Blue and Gold banquet of Cub Scout Pack 43 will be held February 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the elementary school gymnasium.

Mrs. Herman Lenzkow and Mrs. Elizabeth Crothers helped Mrs. Louis Wiesner celebrate her birthday Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Martha Hoffmann. Mr. and Mr. Zalabsky of Pittsville and Mrs. Adeline Keuer visited Mrs. Wiesner Sunday.

Mrs. Marion Begley is hospitalized at Memorial Hospital.

Jim McCauley, a student at Northern Michigan University, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James McCauley and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence McKevitt, Sr.

Royal Neighbors Golden Link Camp No. 78 was to meet Wednesday afternoon in the community rooms beneath the Neillsville Bank.

Mr. and Mrs. John Crowson and sons of Eau Claire spent Saturday with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Schwellenbach. Visitors at the Schwellenbach home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Arne Schwellenbach and Mrs. Julia Coffin, also of Eau Claire.

Troop 64 Boy Scouts held a camp-out over the weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bowen of Gays Mills spent from Friday until Monday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Blum. Mrs. Blum and Mrs. Bowen are twin sisters.

The monthly meeting of the WRC has been postponed until March 12. The meeting is to be held at the home of Mrs. Charles Maegdefessel.

A fellowship event for all young persons, grades nine through 12, of the churches of the community was to be held Wednesday evening at Bruce Mound.

Mrs. Al Wilson is a patient at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Mn. Her room number is 7411.

Mr and Mrs. Forrest Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Turville, together with Mr. and Mrs. Norman Thompson of Rockford, Il., recently joined a tour group for a trip to the Hawaiian Islands. They flew from O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, on February 5 and returned February 13. From Oahu, they toured many places of interest, including Pearl Harbor, the Botanical Gardens and the Polynesian cultural center, and took a short ocean cruise. While they were gone, the Thompsons also visited with another son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Thompson, at Rockford.
