Ehlert, George (? – 4 OCT 1918)
Chas. Ehlert was here from Columbia Monday and stated that he had just received
official notice of the death of his son, George, on Oct. 4. George had embarked
for France in September and as particulars of his death were not forthcoming, it
is probable that his death was the result of disease.
George was a fine young man and a credit in every way to his parents, for he was
possessed of all the qualifications which go to make up sterling, upright and
industrious young manhood. He was a general favorite in his neighborhood and the
news of his death will be a great shock to his friends.
