Clithero, Thomas (Death from Pneumonia – 14 Nov 1918)
Portage – Thomas Clithero, 74 years old, and the oldest rural carrier in point
of service in the country, died of pneumonia. He was a widely known historian
and spoke seven languages. He was prominent in historical affairs of Fort
Winnebago.
