East Weston (Panther Creek) (14 Nov 1918)
Wm. Hurlburt is adding a big improvement to his farm and residence by building a
woven wire fence along the highway the entire length of his farm.
Frank Haack has made a big improvement to his place this summer by having his
barn moved onto a cement basement. Frank and Percy Northup, the man he has on
the farm, are helping Uncle Sam make big strides toward Kaiser Bill, in the way
of farm produce and the dairy.
Elmer Brown and George Palmer of these parts are out east of Neillsville doing
some building for Mart Lastofka and now, girls, while they are down there, we
are putting all kind of confidence in those fellows and—well, we never knew of
either of them running away with anything that belongs to Dave and Ellis.
