Zentner, Augusta (Burning Death – 1918)
Racine – Mrs. Augusta Zentner, 70 years old, who for more than thirty years has
lived as a recluse in Burlington, was burned to death in her home. The charred
body of the woman was found in the ruins, also broken pieces of a lamp. The
woman had been ill with influenza and it is thought while preparing medicine she
knocked over the lamp, igniting her clothing.
