Mrs. Judy Staves, Wendy and Debbie and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kurek and family of
Lakeland, Mn, were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Newell and
also the Donald Staves home.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Burrington of Gilman were supper guests Sunday at the home of
his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Dewayne Parent.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Zerbel and children spent Sunday evening with his mother,
Mrs. Freida Zerbel.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Aeschbacher and Mr. and Mrs. Leland Duxbury were dinner guests
Sunday of Mrs. Emma Gerber.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bornowski and boys of Wausau were visitors last Sunday at the
home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Polege.
The card party sponsored by the Senior Citizens club was well attended and
enjoyed Sunday night.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Johnson and girls were visitors Sunday afternoon at the home of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Zuelke, Sr., in Thorp.
Mr. and Mrs. Perle Pickett attended the funeral of Harly Randalls at Shady Glen
Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Zimmerman were callers Satruday at the home of Mrs. Anita
Markham.
Dale Austin of Beloit spent a couple days recently at the home of Mrs. Laura
Dignin.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Elger were Sunday afternoon visitors at the Arnold Matti home.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Taude of Eau Claire were down Wednesday to spend the day with
Mrs. Levi Fitzmaurice.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Duerkop and children of Stevens Point were over Sunday to visit
the home folks and call on friends.
Among the callers at the home of Millie Trachsel the past week were Mrs.
Beatrice Lang, Ann Scheffer, Nelda Prindle and Darlene Trachsel.
Mr. and Mrs. George Moore celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last Sunday
by holding open house at their home to a large group of friends and neighbors.
Word has come of the death of Robert Wilman of Hudson, a former Humbird boy. He
was a retired railroad conductor and will be remembered by many here. Immediate
survivors are his wife and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Ness and family and Mrs. Becky Radford of Rosemount, Mn,
were weekend guests at the Hugh Terrell home.
Mrs. Anita Markham was a dinner guest Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Losey in Fairchild.
Mrs. Laura Dignin was a dinner guest Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard
Sieg.
The flu bug is still making the rounds. Last week it was Steven Parent and
Sunday, Perle Pickett became quite ill with the flu.
