Miller, Lucille A. (14 NOV 1922 – 15 SEP 2015)
Lucille A. Miller, 92, Loyal, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at Golden
Living Center-Three Oaks, in Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m.,
on Friday, Sept. 18, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Rev. Daniel Zimmerman
officiated. Burial followed in the Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were David,
Richard, Vaughn, Ryan, Cherilyn and Shelli.
Lucille Alma Fohrman was born on Nov. 14, 1922, in the town of Beaver, Clark
County, the daughter of William and Lorna (nee Pieper) Fohrman. She was raised
on the family farm, received her elementary education at Beaver Center Country
Grade School, and graduated from Loyal High School in 1940. Lucille married
Clarence E. Miller on July 8, 1941, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Riplinger.
They raised their two daughters and farmed together in the town of Beaver for 43
years. In 1973, they moved into Loyal where Lucille worked at the Loyal Bakery
and worked for the Loyal Public Schools. She lived in the Loyal area her entire
life and was a good farmer. Lucille was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church,
where she was active in church work. She was past president and treasurer of the
T.L.C.W., taught Sunday School, and served on the altar committee. She was also
a member of the Beaver Center Homemakers. She had many interests, but especially
loved farming, gardening, quilting and her bees.
Lucille is survived by two daughters: Betty (Tom) Loos, Loyal, and Dell Miller,
Marshfield; six grandchildren: David Loos, Richard Loos, Vaughn (Bethany) Loos,
Cherilyn (Ryan) Jakobi, Shelli and Staci; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence, on March 15,
1999; and one sister, Mavis Gordee.
