Krueger, Carol Helen (Smazal) (8 JAN 1944 - 10 AUG 2015)
Carol Helen Krueger, age 71, of Abbotsford passed away Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, in
her home.
She was born Jan. 8, 1944, to Charles and Clara (Ress) Smazal in Fenwood. Carol
was united in marriage to Ronald Krueger on Feb. 23, 1963, in Wausau. Together
they raised eight wonderful children.
Carol was passionate about her polka music. She and Ron enjoyed attending polka
parties and going out to eat. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking,
baking and playing cards with friends. Carol loved to spend time with her
children and grandchildren. She liked to watch NASCAR and was a devoted Dale
Earnhardt Jr. fan.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Ronald; her eight children, Laura
Krueger-Pecher, Kevin Krueger, Mary Pohlman, Dale Krueger, Nancy Mast, Rhonda
Grabko, Sharon Miller and Kasey Krueger; her 12 grandchildren, Brandon Pecher,
Kayla Pecher, Tiffany Krueger, Kevin Krueger Jr., Joshua Baumann, Stephanie
Baumann-Krueger, Dustin Krueger, Mitchell Grabko, Amanda Krueger, Amber Miller,
Kamron Krueger and Klay Krueger; and her three great-grandchildren, Logan
Baumann, Gabriel Blackwell and Emma Stockfisch. She is further survived by her
brothers, Eugene “Jack” (Irene) Smazal, Kenneth (Judy) Smazal and Donald Smazal;
and sisters, Jeanette Smazal, Delores Petri, Beverly Galowski, Clara Schwants,
Marcella Smazal and Marlene Galowski.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Victor, Edward and Charles
Jr.; and sisters, Bernice, Diane and Betty.
A prayer service was held on Saturday, Aug. 15, at noon at the Maurina-Schilling
Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Family and friends were welcomed from 6-8 p.m. on
Friday, Aug. 14, and 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral
home in Abbotsford. Interment followed at the Abbotsford Public Cemetery.
