Greenwood (28 February 1974)
Miss Judith Verhulst, who attends Wartburg College in Waverly, Ia., spent the
weekend at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Verhulst.
Sunday guests at the home of Mrs. Jake Speich were Mrs. Rose Ludwig and Mr. and
Mrs. Donald Speich of Eau Claire.
Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux took their daughter, Monica, who spent a week here back
to Marshfield and visited their son, Allen at the hospital there.
Mrs. Rose Ludwig will entertain the Canasta Club at a 6:30 dinner meeting at her
home Friday evening, March 1.
Mr and Mrs. Kenneth Stafford and children, Pamela and Joey of Neenah, spent
Sunday with his mother, Mrs. Edith Stafford and also visited with his uncle,
Harry Stafford, at the Memorial Home in Neillsville.
George Kuester was admitted Monday to Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Karlen of Stanley visited Sunday at the home of her mother,
Mrs. Edwin Hegenbarth.
The commission on social relations met Tuesday evening at the Immanuel United
Church of Christ. Menu plans were made for the centennial celebration. The
consistory held a meeting at the church Sunday evening and accepted a contract
on a poured floor for the basement of the church and discussed the painting of
the interior of the church.
Mrs. Harry Meinhardt was dismissed from Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.
The boy scouts went to Perkinstown Sunday evening, where they enjoyed sliding
and tobogganing.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dunn of Eau Claire spent Saturday here at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie and with her sister, mrs. Godfrey Dyre and
family.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Stewart visited Sunday at Middleton at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Keith Stewart.
Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Behncke and daughters, Sally and Mary of Wisconsin rapids, and
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Shupe of Spencer visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Zimmendorf.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Telford and daughters of Eau Claire and his mother, Mrs.
Florence Telford of Thorp were Sunday guests at the home of Mrs. Don Warner.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Lyon of Milwaukee visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Erickson and with other friends.
Mrs. Ruth Bertz, Mrs. Helen Axelson and Mrs. Dorothy Neuenfeldt spent Tuesday
with Mrs. Olaf Johnson at the Black River apartments.
Sunday guests at the Harlan Brux home were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Brux of Marshfield
and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kowieski and granddaughter, Kathy Kowieski of Auburndale.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart and daughter, Doris of Stanley, were Saturday guests
at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart.
