Sue Ann Olsen of Loyal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Olsen, Box 234, Loyal
(Clark Co., Wis.), exchanged wedding vows with David Ervin Stilp, Jr., 746
Harding St., Oconomowoc, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Stilp, 746 Harding St.,
Oconomowoc, Saturday, June 13, 1970 at 7:30 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church
of Loyal. Officiating was Rev. Wm. Humlie.
Mr. Vern Dahlby sang "The Wedding Hymn" and Pamela Wolfe played the organ.
The bride was seen in a white organza gown, in empire A-line style, with beaded
re-embroidered Alencon lace to accent the hem, sheer yoke, and cuffs of the
sheer puffed sleeves. Her headpiece was a mantilla train bordered with lace. She
carried a cascade of white and yellow daisies with baby's breath.
Her maid of honor was Miss Janice Peters, Columbus, Wis., and her bridesmaid was
Nikki Knudsen, Whitewater, Wis.
They wore sleeveless dresses of striped cotton dimity with maize and green
flower scattered throughout. The neckline and empire waist were accented with
green and maize ribbon. Yellow picture hats complemented the gowns and each
carried a wicker basket of yellow and white daisies.
The flower girl was Deanna Naggatz and the ring bearer was Daniel Naggatz, both
of Madison.
The groom's best man was Donald Buell, Williams Bay, Wis., and the groomsman was
Robert Knudsen, Whitewater.
Ushers were David Olsen, Loyal, and Eric Plahns, Appleton, Wis.
A reception was held in the church parlors.
The bride is a 1966 graduate of Loyal High School and a 1970 graduate of WSU –
Whitewater, with a Bachelor of Education degree., Business Education major.
The groom is a 1965 graduate of Oconomowoc High School and a 1970 graduate of
WSU – Whitewater, with a Bachelor of Education Degree. He is a music major and
an active member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonis.
The couple is residing at Rt. 2, Box 2-H, Rantoul, Ill.
