Williams, Alice M. (Wilcott) (18 OCT 1924 - 19 AUG 2015)
Alice M. Williams, age 90, formerly of Unity, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 19,
2015, at Oakbrook Health and Rehabilitation in Thorp.
Alice was born on Oct. 18, 1924, in the town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County, the
daughter of Felix and Catherine (Werner) Wilcott. She graduated from Stratford
High School in 1942. Alice was united in marriage to Elmer F. Holtman in 1943.
They farmed in the town of Eau Pleine and later divorced.
On July 6, 1967, Alice was united in marriage to Paul D. Williams in Crown
Point, Ind. Together they owned and operated the Village Bar, which later became
Paul and Alice’s, located in Unity.
She was a fabulous cook and hostess and nobody ever left her house hungry. She
was famous for her “grandma beans” and pies and loved spending time with her
family.
Alice is survived by her husband, Paul of Thorp; her son, Randy (Violet) Holtman
of Cadott; a daughter-in-law, Mary Holtman of Colby; 13 grandchildren; 34
great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived
by two sisters-in-law, Patsy Stollsteimer of Saline, Mich., and Lois Wilcott of
California; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Terrence Holtman; her
daughter, Carol Holtman; a grandson, Dale Holtman; a great-granddaughter, Ashley
Holtman; three sisters, Virginia (Wenzel) Koller, Cleo (Virgil) LePert and
Marcella (Jerry) Woodkey; and two brothers, James and Eugene Wilcott.
A private graveside service was held at Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott.
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford assisted the family with the
arrangements.
