Seubert, David A. "Schooner" (29 MAR 1935 - 24 SEP 2015)
David A. "Schooner" Seubert, 80, Marathon died Thursday, September 24, 2015 at
Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born March 29, 1935 in Marathon, son of the late Richard and Anne
(Vetter) Seubert.
On October 3, 1959 he married Marlene Wagner at St. Mary Catholic Church,
Marathon. She survives.
Dave was the former owner/operator of Schooner Dave's and The Village Inn, both
of Marathon and Chateau Regina's, Edgar.
He enjoyed traveling, gardening, spending time with his pets and watching the
Badgers, Packers and the Brewers. His pride and joy was being "Papa" to Bryce
and Blair. He was also a volunteer fireman for the Village of Marathon from 1981
to 1990.
Dave proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1956 until 1957.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene Seubert, Marathon, two children, Dean
Seubert, Marathon and Brenda (Perry) White, Brainerd, Minnesota, two
grandchildren, Bryce Erdman, Fenwood and Blair Erdman, Wausau and one brother,
Richard Seubert, Rozellville.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2015 at
St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier will
preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the
church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Mary School, Marathon.

thank Dr. Peterson, Dr. Barton and all the staff at Aspirus Regional Cancer
Center and Aspirus Wausau Hospital for the wonderful care they all gave David.
