Leach, Bonnie L. (Steen) (11 SEP 1941 - 28 FEB 2014)
Bonnie L. Leach, 72, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014, at
Aurora Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Born in Medford, WI, on September 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late
Henry and Amanda (Dassow) Steen. She was educated in the schools of Medford and
moved to Kenosha in 1960.
On July 2, 1960, she married Ervin Leach in Medford, WI. He preceded her in
death on March 26, 1995. Bonnie was employed with LeBlanc and after retirement,
she went back to work part-time in the bakery department of Super-Value grocery
store.
She enjoyed going to estate sales, cooking and baking. Her greatest enjoyment
came from spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her three children, Pam (Paul J.) Stahl of Cedarburg, WI, Jeff
(Barb) Leach of Pleasant Prairie and Lori (Jay) DeBoer of Kenosha; a brother,
Roger (Barbara) Steen of Westboro, WI; a sister, Phyllis (Donald) Brunner of
Medford, WI; four grandchildren, Jessica (Jacob) Zimmerman, Christina Leach,
Nathan Symoens and Tyler (Shawna) Symoens; three step grandchildren, Ashley
(Jason) Clark, Gavin DeBoer and Madison DeBoer; a great-grandson, Noah; and
another great-grandson due in July, Luke. She is further survived by numerous
other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Galen Steen; and a sister,
Shelby Zimmerlee.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th, at Proko Funeral Home from 3:00
p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5:00 p.m. Entombment will be
private.
