Bacon, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), son of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Bacon, Monroe, at the
Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Rothschild.
Officiating at the ceremony was Rev. H. Karl Diemer of Oconto Falls, uncle of
the bride.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Organist was Miss Susan Fritz, Rothschild; and soloist was Alden Moldenhauer,
Schofield.
The bride wore a white, semi-regular waisted floor length gown of silk organza
over taffeta with Venice lace appliques on long sleeves and forming a mandarin
collar. It had a flat tailored bow accenting the slim fitted waist line in
front. Her veil was long mantilla of silk illusion with lace appliques with a
crown effect. She carried a colonial bouquet of white roses and lemon leaves.
The matron of honor was Mrs. Thomas Brussow, Loyal, and the bridesmaids were
Mrs. Walter Luepke, Reedsburg, and Miss Ann Berry, Loyal.
The attendants wore a peppermint striped gwon of Dacron blend with fitted
bodice, empire waistline, high collard and short pouf sleve, accented with
velvet ribbon on heavy cotton lace, featuring the Gibson girl look. They carried
colonial bouquet of white mums with deep pink centers, and wore matching flowers
in their hair.
The best man was William Bacon of Monroe, and the groomsmen were David Myre,
Schofield, and David Mayer of Monroe.
Ushers were Larry Wuetrich, Monroe and Michael Diemer, Oconto Falls.
A reception and dinner followed at the Holiday Inn in Wausau. A rehearsal dinner
was given the evening before at the Palm's Supper Club, which was hosted by the
parents of the groom.
Mrs. Bacon is a graduate of Loyal High School and is presently attending
Whitewater State University in Whitewater. She is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta
Sorority.
The groom is a 1970 graduate of Whitewater State University and is a member of
