Kuechenmeister, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest (Golden - 3 March 1974)
Approximately 50 friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kuechenmeister
gathered at their home at 305 W. 14th Street in Neillsville Saturday evening for
a surprise party in observance of the couple’s golden wedding anniversary.
The Kuechenmeisters were married March 3, 1924, in St. Paul, Mn. Following their
marriage, they farmed in the Town of Grant until they retired two years ago and
subsequently moved to Neillsville.
Ernest Kuechenmeister was born and grew to manhood in the Town of Grant. He is
the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clemens Kuechenmeister. Mrs. Kuechenmeister,
the former Ethel Young, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Young, grew up
in the Loyal and Spencer areas.
They are the parents of one son, William, of Arlington Heights, Il. There are
three grandchildren, DuWayne Kuechenmeister and Mrs. Michael (Diane) LaBarge of
Marshfield and Donna Kuechenmeister of Arlington Heights; and two great
grandchildren, Cory and Sherrie Kuechenmeister. The LaBarges and Mrs. William
Kuechenmeister were unable to be present for the observance.
A special anniversary cake was baked and decorated by Mrs. Gary Kuechenmeister.
In addition to William Kuechenmeister and Donna and Mr. and Mrs. DuWayne
Kuechenmeister and children, those attending from away included Mr. and Mrs.
Eugene Erickson of Marshfield and Mrs. Nellie Yankee and Mrs. Nadine Novotny of
Neenah.
