Greenwood (7 March 1974)
Mrs. Robert Lemke, who was a patient in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, is
now a resident at the Memorial Home in Neillsville.
Mrs. Marie Jeras and Mrs. Dora Fortuna returned Sunday after an extended trip
which took them to Roswell, N.M., where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Ignatz Cesnik.
They also visited the Carlsbad Caverns while there and spent three days at Las
Vegas, Nev. They spent some time at San Jose, Ca, with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Meyer,
former Greenwood residents and in San Mateo they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Kolmodin and family.
Mrs. Bernard Vesel returned to Port Washington Friday after spending the week
here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Vogel. Mr. Vogel, who is a resident at
the Memorial Home in Neillsville, returned there Thursday evening after spending
several days here with his family.
The Women’s Guild will meet today (Thursday) in the Zion United Church of
Christ. Mrs. George Hoehne will be in charge of the program. Mrs. Paul Acker and
Mrs. Richard Acker will be hostesses.
The United Methodist women will meet in the Grace United Methodist Church. Mrs.
Leon Kuester will be in charge of the program. Hostesses will be Mrs. Leota
Murphy and Mrs. Hastings Baird.
