On Tuesday afternoon of this week, Mr. John F. King, a farmer living just east
of town, went out in his pasture to catch one of his horses. He succeeded in
getting within a few feet of the animal, when the house suddenly turned and
kicked him severely on his left side. Had it not be for some papers and a book
in his pocket, the blow would undoubtedly have proved a fatal one. Fortunately
Mr. King sustained injuries from which he will rapidly recover.
