Thompson, Lewis (23 DEC 1806 – 27 APR 1873)
Died, at his home in the Town of Sherman (Clark Co., Wis.), Sunday morning,
April 27, 1873, of diabetes, Lewis Thompson, aged 66 years, 4 months and 6 days.
Mr. Thompson was a a native of Addison Co., Vermont. He had been a resident of
this county for several years. About 4 years ago since, he had a paralytic
stroke which seriously impaired his speech and usefulness. He patiently bore his
suffering suntil death relieved him of all earthly cares.
He leaves an afflicted widow and two or three sorrowing children, who are all
married. The deceased was a member of good standing of Neillsville Lodge A.F.
and A.M., and his remains were interred in our village cemetery on last Tuesday
with Masonic honors.
