Chapiesky, Duane “Chip” (1939? - 3 October 2015)
Duane Chapiesky, 76, of Neillsville passed away Saturday evening, Oct. 3, 2015,
in Neillsville.
Chip was employed at O’Hare Field in Illinois. He also worked as the Town of
Seymour road supervisor, and he worked at the Presto Corporation, Caterpillar
and was self-employed as a welder in his “hobby shop” in Fall Creek.
He was married to Betty Landers for 38 years. They later divorced. He married
Pamela Meyer in 1995 and moved to Neillsville, where he continued to enjoy gun
collecting, hunting, camping, traveling and motorcycling. He and Pam traveled
together through 46 states and seven Canadian provinces. They wintered in Texas
for 19 years.
Duane is survived by his wife, Pamela (Meyer) Chapiesky; daughter, Regina (Dan)
Mauer of Eau Claire; a son, Regan (Gobin) Chapiesky of Chippewa Falls;
grandchildren, Matthew and Mark Mauer; step-children: Todd (Jenny) Meyer of
Fairchild, Darren (Balbina) Meyer of Maryland, Melanie Kiel of Camp Douglas and
Darcy (Steve) Gunter of Augusta; and six step-grandchildren.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Prairie View Cemetery in
Chippewa Falls.
