The Loyal High School Class of 1950 held its 65-year reunion on Sept. 23 at Rumours in Loyal. Those attending were Ken Degenhardt and Mary Burns from Sun City, Ariz.; Lyle Quandt, Ella Stevens, and Bob and Dorothy Herdrich of Eau Claire; Verland Holt and Darla Meddaugh of Marshfield; Karlene Berg and Bud and Joan Smith of Loyal; and Christine Kurz of Spencer. Their fresh-man class adviser, Vern Dahlby, called but did not attend.

Ella Stevens gave the invocation, followed by a moment of silence for 24 deceased classmates.

Letters from classmates were read. It was decided that future reunions will be held on a yearly basis, rather than every five years. The next reunion will be in September 2016.
