Willard (14 March 1974)

A card party at the community parish center was held Sunday. Eight tables of cards were played. Door prize was awarded to Frank Govek; raffle prize to Valentine Krainz; a prize was also awarded at each table to the winner. A lunch was served after the games. On the committee were Valentine Krainz and Ernest Arch.

Mr. and Mrs, Edward Kirchenberg and Brian of Racine, Miss Bev Volovsek of Oshkosh and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Niehaus of Marshfield, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Volovsek.

Tony Gosar is a patient in the Marshfield Hospital.

Miss Janice Marcott of Stevens Point spent the weekend here with Mr. and Mrs. John Trunkel, Jr.

The PCCW officers met Monday afternoon at the parish center to discuss business.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Mikottis of Bensenville, Il., and Mr. and Mrs. John Kaltinger, visited Sunday night with Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Krainz.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bayuk and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bayuk, Jr., and family of Joliet, Il., visited Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bayuk, Sr. and other relatives recently.

Mrs. Harold Kieffer, Kathy and Sandy of Auburndale, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wolk of Greenwood visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Halbrader and family.

Mrs. Patrick Plautz is a patient in a Marshfield hospital.

Mr and Mrs. John Pernic, Sr., and Mrs. Helen Zulich of Lodi were guests recently of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pekol, Sr.

Mrs. Frank Koschak left Satruday for Miami, Fla., to be with the James Hill, Jr., family and get acquainted with her grandson.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Plautz and family of Greenwood were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Plautz and Robert.

Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs. John Verschay were in Portage to visit friends.

Mr. and Mrs. John Scharenbrock have returned from Chicago, Il., where they visited relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Bonkoski of Madison, and Mrs. Jack Cardinal and Michele of Salt lake City, Utah, visited here recently. Mrs. Cardinal stopped here following a pharmacist’s convention in Chicago which she attended. She and her daughter also plan to visit in Mankato, Mn, with relatives. The above mentioned were here to visit Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Reuter and family.

Mr. and Mrs. James Buzia of Sussex moved recently onto the farm which they purchased recently from the Lesar sisters.
