Brehm, Gust (21 SEP 1887 – 15 NOV 1967)
Funeral services for Gust Brehm, 80, Colby, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the
Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, with the Rev. R. James Hagen officiating. Masonic
rites were conducted by the Colby Lodge, and interment was made in Colby
Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Brehm died Wednesday at the Memorial Home at Neillsville, wehre he had been
a resident for the past several months.
Mr. Brehm was born Sept. 21, 1887, at Colby. On July 29, 1911, he was married to
Agnes Provinski, who survives him. The couple farmed in the town of Hull until
1937, when they moved to Colby. They also operated a fur ranch during that time.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Roland and Raymond of Unity, and
Allen, Griffith, Ind., and 11 grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters also
survive. They are Alex Brehm of Neenah, Ewald Brehm of Athens, Mrs. Ella
Abrahamson, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. Bryon Talcott, Wausau.
