Sterling, Mr./Mrs. Nedry (57th – 16 NOV 1967)
Mr. and Mrs. Nedry Sterling of Abbotsford celebrated their 57th wedding
anniversary Thursday, Nov. 16, 1967.
Relatives and friends called in the afternoon.
Both Mr. Sterling and the former Elizabeth Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
William Brown, were born int eh town of Holton (Marathon Co., Wis.) and attended
the former Rosedale School. They were married in Abbotsford and since 1939 have
lived in Abbotsford.
Mr. Sterling was engaged in farming and carpentry.
They are the parents of Mrs. Ernest (Marguerite) Schade and Mrs. James (Nila)
Buss of Abbotsford, Mrs. Charles (Evelyn) Elstrom of Chicago, Mrs. Robert
(Lucille) Bemis of the state of Washington, and a son, Lester Sterling of
Woodburn, Ore.
A son, Melvin, who was in the air force, was shot down over Austria during World
War II.
The Sterlings have 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Sterling ahs two brothers, Allen, near Green Bay, and George in California.
Mrs. Sterling has one brother, John Brown of Abbotsford, and two sisters, Mrs.
John (Nell) Dusik of Boyd, and Mrs. Cora Heida of Mondovi.
