Oncken, Mrs. Henry (1881? - 28 NOV 1967)
Mrs. Henry Oncken, 86, died November 28, 1967 at the Bethel Nursing Home, Arpin,
where she had resided the past nine years.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, Dec. 1 at the Lake View American
Lutheran Church, Madison, with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Oncken, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Reyer of Colby, spent her early
years at Colby, until her marriage to Henry Oncken of rural Madison. She and her
husband lived in wester Minnesota where they engaged in wheat framing. They
later operated a furniture store and funeral home in Bellingham, Minn. Her
husband passed away in 1931.
Mrs. Oncken is survived by a sister, Mrs. Fred M. Distelhorst, Madison, and two
brothers, Otis Reyer of Barrington, Ill., and Harold Reyer of Stoughton.
