Hubing, Anton Edward (1 September 1906 - 26 March 1974)
Funeral services are to be held this (Thursday) morning at 11 a.m. from St.
Mary’s Catholic Church for Anton Edward Hubing of Rt. 3 Neillsville, who died
Tuesday at the age of 67. The Rev. Charles D. Brady will officiate and burial
will made in the parish cemetery. The Rosary was to be recited Wednesday evening
at the Georgas Funeral Home, where the body of Mr. Hubing was in state.
Anton Hubing, the son of John and Mary (Ziglinski) Hubing, was born September 1,
1906, at Loyal and was educated there. He worked in the cheese making industry
and was a cheesemaker for the Neillsville Milk Products Cooperative for many
years.
His marriage to the former Ethel Mashak took place October 14, 1930, at Middle
Ridge. The Hubings moved to a farm south of Neillsville in 1961. Mr. Hubing was
a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and of its Holy Name Society.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are six children: Adrian Hubing of
Neillsville, Mrs. Larry (Patricia) Langer of Merrillan, Delano Hubing of La
Crosse, Mrs. John (Marylin) Gregorich of Waunakee, John Hubing of Neillsville
and Miss Kathleen Hubing of Madison; and 15 grandchildren. He is also survived
by three sisters, Mrs. Lorraine Bauer and Mrs. Beatrice Bauer of Loyal and Mrs.
Kenneth (Vinetta) Johnson of Morton Grove, Il.; and by a brother, Joseph Hubing
of Loyal.
