Carlson, Clifford E. (15 AUG 1922 – 30 DEC 1967)
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Clifford E. Carlson, 45, route 1, Unity,
at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity.
Mr. Carlson died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Dec. 40, 1967, after a
lingering illness.
The Rev. Robert Sutherland officiated at the rites, and burial was made in
Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wilfred Atcherson, Walter Anderson,
Ray Binning, Lester Ewert, Forrest Johnson and Harold Runge.
The Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, was in charge of the arrangements.
Clifford E. Carlson was born August 15, 1922, at Spencer, the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Gustav Carlson. He attended schools at Unity, graduating from the high
school there in 1941. Except for one year when he worked in Chicago. Mr. Carlson
lived with his parents on their farm until his marriage on Jan. 22, 1944, to the
former Lois O. Franke at St. Luke's Lutheran Church at Riplinger.
They farmed at Lake Mills until March 1952, when they returned to the Unity area
to operate a farm.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity.
Surviving are his wife and three children, Karen, Erland and Allen, all at home,
as well as his parents and three brothers, Maxam Carlson, route 4, Marshfield,
Dale Carlson, Appleton, and Wallace Carlson, Oak Creek.
