Naedler, Marvin E. (9 December 1928 - 15 October 2015)
Marvin E. Naedler, 86, of Granton passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, at
Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Marvin was born to William and Linda (Schwantes) Naedler Dec. 9, 1928, in
Neillsville. He was the oldest of three and attended Granton area school. Marvin
married Mary Ingold June 20, 1953, and they celebrated their 62nd wedding
anniversary this past June. They had four children. Marvin was a dairy farmer
and did custom work, including combining, bulldozing and trenching. He was also
a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton.
Marvin was a devoted father who included his family in many of his hobbies. He
sang in a barbershop quartet. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved to
play cards and checkers. He and Mary also enjoyed 26 winters in Mesa, AZ, where
they enjoyed playing croquet, bocce ball, shuffleboard and cards. He will be
deeply missed by his family and friends.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Mary; children: Larry (Patti) Naedler of
Granton, Rodney (Janeen) Naedler of Granton, Nancy (Dave) Bauman of Little
Canada, MN, and Joyce (Chris) Deedon of Lodi; 12 grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; brother, William (Cheryl) Naedler of Elwood, IL; and
sister-in-law, Pat Naedler of Neillsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother in infancy; and a sister,
Irene Nanstead-Engen.
The family will be holding a private service only. Please no flowers. Memorials
can be sent to the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton.
The family also wishes to thank the Granton EMT service and the nurses and
doctors at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield for their wonderful care.
