Winchell, Harold C. (21 OCT 1909 – 7 JAN 1968)
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 3. For Harold Winchell, 58, who
was found dead at his home on the west edge of Dorchester Sunday morning about
11:30. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
The Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiated at the services at St. Peter's Lutheran
Church at Dorchester at 2 o'clock, after which interment was made in the
Dorchester Cemetery.
Harold C. Winchell was born Oct. 21, 1909, at Dorchester, the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Del Winchell. She farmed in the town of Mayville until about 17 years ago,
when he moved to Dorchester. His marriage to Bertha Haufe took palce June 2,
1945. Mrs. Winchell preceded her husband in death on May 31, 1959.
He is survived by an only daughter, Alice, of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Max
(Vernetta) Wilke, town of Mayville, Mrs. Jack (Eunice) Heier, Medford, and Mrs.
David (Nora) Motelet, Abbotsford, and one brother, Donovan, Worth, Ill.
