Matousek, Ruzena (23 February 1892 - 26 March1974)
Mrs. Louis (Ruzena) Matousek, formerly of the Town of Levis and a resident of
Memorial Home for the past three years, died Tuesday at the age of 82. Funeral
services are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Georgas
Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Walker officiating. Interment will be in the
Dells Dam Cemetery.
The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Divoky, Mrs. Matousek was born
February 23, 1892, at Hadlosezy, Czechoslovakia, and came to the United States
in November of 1913 to live with her sister in Chicago. Her marriage to Frank
Koranda took place there in January of 1919. The couple farmed in Michigan.
After Mr. Koranda’s death in 1930, she returned to Chicago where she was married
to Louis Matousek in August 1935.
The Matouseks came to Clark County following their marriage and farmed in the
Town of Levis. Mrs. Matousek was a member of the Western Fraternal life
Association.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, are a son, Jerry Koranda of Rural
Neillsville; and a granddaughter, Mrs. Thomas (Rosalie) Tibbett of Neillsville.
