Klauer, Paul (1 February 1882 - 1 April 1974)
A longtime resident of the Globe area, Paul Klauer of Memorial Home, died April
1 at the age of 92. Funeral Services were to be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from
Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe, with the Rev. Gerhardt Lambrecht of Marshfield
officiating. Interment was to be in the church cemetery. The Georgas Funeral
Home was in charge of arrangements.
Born February 1, 1882, in Jefferson County and educated there, he was the son of
Peter and Amelia (Martin) Klauer. His marriage to the former Theresa Kalsow took
place December 18, 1907, at Helenville. The couple came to Clark County in 1909
and located at Glove, where they farmed until 1949 when they sold their farm.
They lived at Globe for 15 years before moving to Neillsville in 1964. The
Klauers entered Memorial Home in 1970. Mr. Klauer was a member of Immanuel
Lutheran Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three children, Kenneth Klauer of Creal
Springs, Il., Arnold Klauer of Milwaukee and Mrs. George (Violet) Oleson of
Oconomowoc; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived
by two brothers, Hugo Klauer of Rt. 3 Neillsville, and Art Klauer of Oconomowoc.
