On August 8, 1970, the graduating class of 1960, Loyal, held their 10-year reunion at the Amber Inn in Loyal. Decorations were in the class colors of violet and white. 72 persons were in attendance, which included class members and their spouses. 42 of the original 61 in the graduating class attended the reunion.

Those on the reunion committee were Carol Hubing, Mrs. Tom Brussow, Mrs. Herbert Langfeldt, Mrs. George Brenner, Mrs. Henry Aumann Jr., Mrs. Russell Lang, Mrs. Nathan Noeldner, Mrs. Pat Mrotek, Mrs. Kenneth Voss and Mrs. James Hinker.

The evening began with an invocation by Rev. Ross Oestreich, and Fred Meyer, Master of Ceremonies, presented the Welcome. A moment of silence was held in respect for the deceased class members, Margie Rueth and principal, Warner F. Berry.

Mary Thiesen read "Truth About Seniors," a humorous reading taken from the special senior edition of "The Loyalette," the high school weekly newspaper.

Following that correspondence was read by Mrs. Nancy Johnson and Mr. J.R. Thomas, the class secretary Jean Voss. Mrs. Johnson and Mr. Thomas were two of the class advisors.

During a short business meeting itw as decided to hold another class reunion in five years. Mrs. George Brenner Jr. and Fred Meyer were appointed co-chairmen of this event. A brief discussion of of the Warner-Berry Scholarship fund followed and it was voted to turn any remaining money from the reunion over to this fund.

Prizes were then awarded to the following people: Bill Koski for coming the farthest distance; Sally Bauer for having the most children, which was nine; Roger Kadolph for being married the most recently; Jana Shortess for being the longest married; Jean Voss for having the youngest baby; Mary Thiesen for changing the most; Orville Roder for the guy who gained the most weight; Ross Oestreich for loving the most hair; and Kathryn Trnka for the latest information return sent regarding the reunion.
