Mohr, James Harlan Sr. (27 May 1949 - 23 October 2015)
James Harlan Mohr, Sr., 66, passed away Oct. 23, 2015, at his home surrounded by
family.
James was born May 27, 1949, in Neillsville to Donald and Mildred (Lloyd) Mohr.
In March 1971, James married Barbara Ockerl, and they later divorced. Together
they had two children: James and Christina. James then married Karen Dolle Oct.
8, 1982, and they had two children: Joseph and Mary.
James was employed at H.H. Van Gorden & Sons, for 33 years until its closing. He
worked at Lynn Protein for the past 16 years. He never missed a single day of
work.
James’ hobbies were hunting and fishing, but his greatest joys were his
grandchildren: Lukas, Kyle, Ryan, Dontae and Kira. To put it simply, James was a
kind man and a wonderful grandpa.
James is survived by his wife, Karen; children, James Mohr of Ladysmith;
Christina (Jeff) Mohr of Holcombe, Mary Mohr of Neillsville and Joseph (Amanda)
Mohr of Neillsville; and two step-children: David Schreindl of Chili and Laura
Schreindl of Mishawaka, IN. James is also survived by his brothers: Fred,
Ronnie, Randy, Steve and Gary; and his sisters, Donna, Joann and Diane.
James was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Gesche Funeral
Home in Neillsville. No Funeral service was held.
Honorary pallbearers were his children and grandchildren, with burial in
Neillsville City Cemetery.
