Braun, Myrtle (13 DEC 1907 – 12 AUG 1970)
Mrs. Henry Braun, 62, of Spencer, died Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 12, 1970 at St.
Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jasperson Funeral Home. The
Rev. Lee Holmes, Marshfield, officiated, and burial was made in the West Spencer
Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Schwantes, Arnold Luepke, Walter Facklam, Ed
Fravert, Earl Cramer and Ted Oelrich. Mrs. Norman Kasper sang "A Closer Walk
with Thee" and "The Old Rugged Cross," accompanied by Mrs. Darrel Roder.
The former Myrtle Schaefer was born Dec. 13, 1907 in Spencer, where she received
her education. She was married May 15, 1929, at Winona, Minn. to Henry Braun,
who preceded her in death in 1966.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Audree) Rezel, Adell, Wis.; Mrs.
Raymond (Marjorie) Hanson and Mrs. Glen (Sandra) Ritter, both of Abbotsford;
Mrs. Carroll (Judy) Hanson, spencer; Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Matthiesen,
Sheboygan Falls, Wis., and Mrs. Glen (Sue) Wozniak, Mosinee, Wis.; a son, Ronald
Braun, St. Paul; 17 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Leonard Hardy of
Spencer and Mrs. Frank Young of Coloma, Mich.
