Stewart, Corinne A. (Marriage - 6 April 1974)
Marriage vows were pledged Saturday, April 6, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church,
Greenwood, by Miss Corinne A. Stewart and Neil H. Armitage. The Rev. Leander
Koopman officiated at the 5:30 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception
at the American Legion Hall. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Rita Stewart of
Greenwood and Glenn Stewart of Eau Claire. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Armitage,
Neillsville are the groom’s parents.
A gown of embroidered eyelet underlined with light blue taffeta was chosen by
the former Miss Stewart, who carried a single white rose as she was presented in
marriage by her father.
Miss Suzanne Johnson, matron of honor, and bridesmaids Martha Querin and Carol
Stewart appeared in gowns of light blue dotted Swiss underlined with light blue
taffeta. Each carried a single white rose.
Thomas Lukes served as bestman, and Ron Schoenherr and Thomas Armitage, as
groomsmen. Ushering duties were shared by Robert Armitage and James Stewart.
Sue Volovsek was the accompanist for soloist Maureen Hughes.
The new Mrs. Armitage is a graduate of Greenwood High School. Her husband, a
Neillsville High School graduate, also attended the University of Wisconsin-La
Crosse. He is employed by a Marshfield cheese retailing firm.
