Wehe, Jerome L. (9 DEC 1926 – 26 OCT 2015)

Jerome L. Wehe, age 88, of Loyal, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Golden Living Center - Three Oaks, in Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Loyal. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church, on Tuesday, from 10am until time of service.

Jerome Leander Wehe was born on December 9, 1926 in Rozelleville, WI, the youngest child of Boniface and Annie (Weber) Wehe. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at Pleasant View School. He was united in marriage to Mildred Marie "Millie" Weigel on May 9, 1951 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, in Rozellville. Jerome and Millie took over the home farm from his parents that same year. They raised their children and remained on the farm until retiring and selling the farm in 1989. They moved to Loyal, where they continued to raise a large garden, which included cabbage to make sauerkraut for the St. Anthony Parish Fall Festival. His wife, Millie, died on April 25, 2010. He continued to reside at home until moving to Hometown Village, in Loyal, in 2015.

He is survived by his children: Dorothy (Brian) Nesbit of Madison, and Dennis Wehe of Rice Lake; three grandchildren: Andrea (Tim) Bohn, Nathan Wehe, and Lyndsay (Michael) Kopping; six great grandchildren: Devin and Coralyn Bohn, Kaelynn, Aubree and Paitynn Kopping, and Edward Wehe; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jerome was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Millie; one sister: Louise (Sr. Imelda) Wehe; and four brothers: John, Eugene, Wilfred and Bernard Wehe.
