Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Korth, former Neillsville residents, visited with Mrs. Della
Botnen and other friends here Friday while enroute home to Colorado Springs,
Co., after spending some time at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Del Korth, in Kenosha.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lavene and Mrs. Hattie Forman spent Sunday evening with Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Greeler.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Subke spent Easter Sunday with the Martin Kalina Family in
Merrillan and were supper guests that evening at the John Subke home.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marg visited at the Orrin Libby home Friday afternoon and were
Easter Sunday dinner guests at the Marvin Marg home.
Guests from Friday until Sunday afternoon at the Roland Kalsow home were Mr. and
Mrs. James Tank and family of Brillion and the Misses Helene and Petra Kalsow of
St. Paul, Mn.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hassemer and children spent the Easter weekend with her
sister and family in Red Wing, Mn.
Easter Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Simenson and family were Joy Hunt of
St. Paul, Mn., Dick Forest of Glenwood City, Dan Potter and Jan Bucheger of
Marshfield and Tom Potter of Oshkosh.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hughes of Kenosha visited Mrs. Louis Weisner Saturday.
The Women’s Relief Corps met April 9 with Mrs. Tina Boon.
Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Scholtz of Eau Claire called Satruday afternoon at the Lewis
Scholtz home.
Easter Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Simek were his mother, Mrs. Mary
Simek, and his sister and brother -in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gault, all of
Wausau.
Miss Louise Scheel of St. Paul, Mn, is spending a week’s vacation with her
brother, Gerhardt Scheel and with other relatives here.
Easter holiday guests at the Peter Rand home from Friday until Sunday were their
granddaughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Wunluck and two children of Oak
Lawn, Il., their daughter, Mrs. Harriett Ricci, also of Oak Lawn, and their
daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kapicak of Northbrook, Il., and a
friend, Gertrude Wegner of Chicago, Il.
Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Marie Keller were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Paulson and Mr.
and Mrs. Wendel Ott and sons.
Frederick Kieser, Douglas and Brian spent Easter Sunday afternoon and evening
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Kieser, in Abbotsford. Also present for the
family gathering were: Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Bartz and sons of Merrill, Mr. and Mrs.
Floyd Hodd and son of Melrose, Mr. and Mrs. Knute Gehring of Eleva and Mrs.
Donald Kieser and children of Abbotsford.
Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Griffin of Beloit were weekend visitors of her mother, Mrs.
Casper Marty. Mr. and Mrs. William Marty and family of Elkhorn spent the weekend
with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marty, and family and
also visited with Mrs. Marty.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Bender and family and Mrs. Agnes Bender of Loyal, Estelle
Krejci, Lydia Hinz, Mrs. Gordon Lavine, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lavene and son,
Ricky, and Mrs. Mabel Schoenfeld were dinner and supper guests of Hattie Forman
Easter Sunday and also celebrated Mrs. Forman’s birthday, which occurred earlier
in the past week.
Easter weekend visitors at the home of Mrs. Leonard Wachholz were Mr. and Mrs.
William Neuhaus and Miss Elaine Wachholz of St. Paul, Mn. Mrs. Wachholz’s
grandson, Michel Wachholz of St. Paul spent last week with her and returned home
Friday with his father, Glen Wachholz, who came to get him.
Easter weekend guests at the Gary Slaats home were Mr. and Mrs. William Slaats,
Becky and Mike of Cuba City.
